FAQs

We know choosing the right course raises questions — especially when it comes to your child’s time, interests, and goals. These answers might help.

What age groups is the Classical Reading course designed for?

Students from Grade 3 onward with no upper age limit to who can join. Everything depends on their reading level and maturity. We carefully place students in a class that matches their ability and interest. Some of our advanced groups even include university students and adults who love literature and want to explore classic texts more deeply.

Will the material suit my child’s current writing level?

Our first step is always trying to find a class that suits the needs of the student. This means we ask questions first to really understand student.

Furthermore, our classical reading curriculum is tiered and adaptable. Whether your child is just developing analytical skills or ready to explore deep philosophical concepts, we guide them step by step with age-appropriate challenges.

Can my child keep up if they have a busy schedule?

The program is designed with flexibility in mind. We have a number of different time options for lesson and students complete assignments during the week when they’re available.

However, if students are very busy and no time slot suits them, Cora Insight Studio is a great alternative that provides ample flexibility without sacrificing depth.

Does this course align with the school curriculum?

Yes—but it goes beyond it. While we cover reading comprehension and literary techniques taught in school, we also explore timeless ideas from philosophy, theology, and ethics—preparing students for high-level academic and personal growth. While schools will have students go through an average of 2-3 books a year, our students go through 8-10 books a year preparing them for everything school has to throw at them.

If my child needs help with both reading and writing, which class should I choose?

It’s completely normal—most students benefit from support in both areas. Our Classical Reading program strengthens reading comprehension, critical thinking, and written expression. However, for students who need more targeted help with writing structure, clarity, and grammar, many families choose to enrol in both the Classical Reading course and our Precision Writing class for the best results.

What kind of results can I expect to see in my child’s reading and writing?

As students engage deeply with literature and discussion, they learn to read with greater attention — noticing structure, tone, and deeper themes. They begin asking stronger questions and thinking more critically. I

n their writing, they gradually develop a clearer voice, stronger arguments, and more control over how they express ideas. Progress depends on how much effort they bring — but with steady work, the improvement becomes evident.
